Agrochemicals: Understand its importance!

The agrochemical sector of fertilizers impacts everyone’s lives in some way, and is present in our daily lives even though it cannot be seen with the naked eye. It is of great importance to the national economy, generating resources for communities and expanding businesses providing employment, imports, research and development, among others.

Widely used in agriculture, agrochemicals are allies of farmers to improve the quality of the soil and, consequently, of the crops, ensuring their healthy growth.

Conscious use and application of proper agricultural techniques are the key to increasing productivity and reducing food costs. Over the years, these products have been improved and optimized in an elaborate way so as not to harm or interfere with the natural flow of plantations, increasingly in a sustainable and natural way.

Much is said about improving crops produced through the use of fertilizers, but few people know the real importance of using this agricultural input and its role in the production process.

There are two major groups of fertilizers: inorganic and organic, both of which can be natural or synthetic.

Inorganics are normally from mineral origin, manufactured in chemical industries, so that they can be applied in agriculture.

They are classified into: nitrogen, phosphate, potassium, mixed (which have more than one type of nutrient) and limestone (which are normally used to correct soil pH).

Organic fertilizers are products of an organic nature, obtained by a physical, chemical, physicochemical or biochemical process, natural or controlled, from raw materials of industrial, urban or rural, vegetable or animal origin, enriched or not with mineral nutrients .

Currently, in the country, with the increase in demand for agricultural products, such as sugarcane, the strengthening and growth of these plantations is only possible with the advent of fertilizers.
